Q: I graduated May 2009 from a top law school, not with a stellar GPA but above a 3.0, and I passed the bar. I was unable to secure a position post-grad because I was going to school out West and was looking forward to working/coming home to the East Coast.
Lately, I’ve been having real trouble finding a job, which can be quite disheartening. I go to networking events, have applied to jobs online — but most of what I see out there is government/public sector-related. I’m not sure what steps I should be taking. I feel at a loss because I don’t know which fields of law I should be concentrated in and where I should be making my moves.
