Registering the birth of children isn’t a priority in many African countries, but the nonprofit group Lawyers with Borders hopes to change that with the help of that old party standby: the board game.

The organization –which connects attorneys with pro bono projects in Africa and elsewhere — has developed a game called Record It! that seeks to teach women about the benefits of registering the birth of their children through a game in the vein of Monopoly and Life. The game rewards players with proper documentation with the ability to inherit a business or become a licensed taxi driver, while denying opportunities to those without documentation.
