Suspended lawyer Henry "Hank" Adorno, co-founder of the law firm Adorno & Yoss, is asking the Florida Supreme Court to halt his indefinite suspension and publicly reprimand him.
Adorno appellate attorney Bruce Rogow of Fort Lauderdale filed court papers Wednesday saying he shouldn’t be disbarred, as the court suggested when it suspended him last month. Adorno was accused of mishandling a class action settlement stemming from a dispute over a City of Miami fire fee. The agreement benefited only seven people but produced $2 million in compensation for Adorno’s Coral Gables firm.
