A federal appeals court on Tuesday approved tighter government funding of medical care for low-income patients, a decision that could cost New Jersey hospitals millions of dollars a year.
The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a decision by the Department of Health and Human Services that denied $1.145 million in funding to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J.
