LexisNexis opened the doors to Lexis Advance for Solos today. The new product, aimed at one- and two-attorney law firms, is a web-based interface to the New Lexis 1.0 platform, which serves up LexisNexis content in XML markup language over a .NET architecture. The browser interface is designed for lawyers who want easy access to legal research that does not require advanced training.

Lexis Advance for Solos offers a predictive, flat-rate monthly price for legal research. Starting at $175 per month for one attorney, and $140 per month for the second attorney, the subscription includes all case and statutory law from all state and federal jurisdictions; Shepard’s Citations; jury verdicts, briefs, pleadings, and motions, including premium materials from IDEX; CourtLink content with the full collection of dockets; and expert witness transcripts, depositions, and curricula vitae. There is no option to access LexisNexis content outside of the new Lexis Advance subscription.
