Tuesday was not a typical morning for Randall B. Wilhite, an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin.

Wilhite, a shareholder in Houston’s Fullenweider Wilhite, said he was driving to the law school from the AT&T Conference Center, UT’s on-campus hotel, when he heard “a loud burst of noise” that sounded like gunshots.
