A Missouri judge has ordered all evidence thrown out in a murder case in which Richard Buchli, a former Kansas City attorney, is accused of beating his law partner to death in their downtown office in May 2000. The judge filed a ruling late Wednesday excluding the evidence, saying Jackson County, Mo., prosecutors had failed to provide key information and evidence to Buchli's attorneys. Buchli was found guilty in 2002 of first-degree murder in the death of Richard Armitage, but his conviction was overturned in 2006. His new trial is set to begin in January 2011.
