Jason Glover, the head of Clifford Chance's much-touted global private funds team, has been hired to launch a U.K. funds practice for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, which has a strong funds practice in the United States but has been notably absent from the funds market in the United Kingdom. The move is seen as significant partly due to Clifford Chance corporate heavyweight Adam Signy's move to Simpson Thacher last May, when he became the firm's first U.K.-qualified corporate partner in London.
