Allen & Overy is advising Rwanda as the once war-torn nation changes from civil to common law in an effort to boost foreign direct investment. A 12-lawyer team from the Magic Circle firm is working pro bono to train legal staff in the Rwandan Bar Association, as well as the country's Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice. The program will run for at least three years and is designed to be transferable to other jurisdictions.
