The judge presiding over former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s corruption case has rejected a defense request to restart the jury selection process.
Judge James Zagel told lawyers Thursday the potential jurors he dismissed were people who would find serving a hardship. He cited as an example a mother with three young children who couldn’t drop everything to sit through a long trial.
