The daughter of disbarred defense attorney Lynne Stewart has been suspended for six months from practicing law for submitting fraudulent documents in order to receive paid time off from the Bronx high school where she taught physical education.

Brenna Stewart, 48, pleaded guilty in 2008 to petit larceny after New York City investigators reported that she had submitted a forged death certificate and two falsified doctor’s notes to receive compensation for nine absences.
