Vinson & Elkins has sent letters to its 2010 first-year associates inviting them to begin their V&E careers on Oct. 4, with base annual salaries of $160,000, firm hiring partner Tom Leatherbury says.
In the fall of 2009, V&E, like many large Texas firms, had made full-time job offers to their 2009 summer associates without stating specific start dates or salaries.
