More than 30 lawsuits have been filed on behalf of passengers of Air France Flight 447, which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on June 1 while en route from Brazil to Paris. Most of the suits involving the crash, which killed all 228 people on board, have been filed within the past few weeks. A hearing last week before the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation addressed whether the growing number of cases should be consolidated and, if so, where they should be heard.
