New York governor David Paterson has turned to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison to weather a firestorm that has already forced the state’s top elected official to abandon his re-election bid — and could yet cost him his job.
The New York Times reports that Gov. David Paterson has hired Paul Weiss litigation co-chair Theodore Wells, Jr., to represent him as New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo’s office continues its investigation into what role the governor played in events surrounding a domestic violence case involving a top Paterson aide.
