Some lawyers think the way to get a Name is to give presentations at conferences. They’re right; they might, however, be surprised at the nature of that Name.

There are hundreds of conferences and thousands of lawyers slavering to speak at them. Conferences may be of any type, but the most prized are conferences attended by the lawyer’s chosen client target group. For example, if the lawyer is into M&A, she may go to a securities law get-together. If he’s a criminal defense attorney, he could attend County Commission meetings.
