Sidley Austin has hired prominent life sciences IP litigator M. Patricia Thayer from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, the firm said this week. "It's really a unique opportunity, for my talents and client connections and for what I'd like to be doing for the next 20 years," Thayer said of the move. Thayer was previously the co-chair of Heller Ehrman's IP practice and was among the many partners who jumped quickly to new firms when Heller collapsed. She is one of the first to make a second jump.
