Profits per partner at Dallas firm Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell improved to $979,000 in 2009, up 2.4 percent from $956,000 in 2008, managing partner Jerry Clements confirmed Friday.

The PPP figure was first reported on the Above the Law blog, which posted some financial information on what ATL described as a memorandum from the firm’s executive committee to Locke Lord partners. Clements, a partner in Austin, says she’s “very excited” about the firm’s PPP improvement but declines to say if the memorandum is authentic.
