The 3rd Circuit has upheld the dismissal of a suit by a woman who ran away as a teenager and secretly lived with a school security guard for a decade, finding the case was filed too late. Tanya Kach resurfaced in 2006 after running away with Thomas Hose in 1996 when she was 14 and he was 38. Kach says the relationship changed after she moved in with Hose and that she stayed only because he threatened her. She sued Hose, as well as school officials and police, claiming they did not prevent or fully probe her disappearance.
