Baker & Hostetler announced Tuesday that it has hired three litigators as partners for its New York office as part of a continuing push to build up its presence in the city. The new hires include Mark Kornfeld, previously at Hogan & Hartson; Deborah Renner, a former partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal; and Gonzalo Zeballos, who had been an assistant general counsel for American International Group Inc.
George Stamboulidis, managing partner of Baker & Hostetler’s New York office, said the Cleveland-based firm recently took an additional floor at 45 Rockefeller Plaza so it could bring on more attorneys. The new hires push the firm’s New York head count to more than 90, with growth exceeding 30 percent a year since the office opened in July 2001. The firm has about 600 lawyers nationwide.
