Chief Justice Carol W. Hunstein of the Georgia Supreme Court announced Wednesday that the justices of her court would be joining court employees in taking three furlough days between now and the end of the year.

In July, Gov. Sonny Perdue’s budget office warned state agency heads to prepare for a 5 percent reduction in their current budgets, plus the equivalent of three furlough days for all state employees.
