Lawyers working for billionaire Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and its affiliated operating companies have had themselves a busy past few days.

On Tuesday Virgin announced the sale of Virgin Mobile USA to joint venture partner Sprint Nextel in a stock swap valued at $483 million. Less than an hour later, Virgin announced that an Abu Dhabi investment fund had agreed to pay $280 million for a 32 percent stake in its commercial space travel venture, Virgin Galactic.
