A number of lawyers have switched from big firms to smaller ones because their high rates priced them out of the middle market, but now some say they're leaving big firms because they are being priced out of work for Fortune 1000 companies. One of them, Keith M. Kodosky, this week joined the eight-lawyer Bloom Law Firm as counsel from Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, where he'd been a senior associate. Kodosky said his rate was $650 an hour at Paul Hastings, and will be $300 an hour at his new job.
