On his second day of testimony in the wiretapping case against lawyer Terry Christensen, prominent divorce attorney Stephen A. Kolodny revealed on Friday the animosity that existed between him and another well-known divorce lawyer, Dennis Wasser, whose name has surfaced several times during the trial.
Federal prosecutors have charged Christensen with paying $100,000 to private investigator Anthony Pellicano to wiretap the conversations of Lisa Bonder Kerkorian, the ex-wife of his client, billionaire Kirk Kerkorian. Bonder Kerkorian and Kerkorian had been married for 28 days in 1999, one year after she gave birth to a daughter, Kira. Kolodny, a partner at Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Kolodny & Anteau, was her lawyer in the child support case. Wasser, a partner at Los Angeles-based Wasser, Cooperman & Carter, had been serving as Christensen’s co-counsel.
