Tom Janson is an avid and obsessive ice, rock and mountain climber who spends as much of his time off from being a lawyer as he can on some of the world's most challenging mounts -- in May, he climbed to the top of Mount McKinley. As co-head of the private equity practice at Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy in New York City, Janson has worked on many of the corporate world's most intense deals. But he finds post-deal adventures are the perfect escape from the intensity and confinement of work.
