Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline tapped Sidley Austin partner Dan Troy to join the company as senior vice president and general counsel on Sept. 2.
Troy, a Washington- and New York-based lawyer who is a partner in Sidley’s life sciences practice and appellate litigation groups, was chief counsel of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration from mid-2001 to the end of 2004. At Sidley, he advises pharmaceutical companies and trade associations on FDA and other regulatory matters.
