Washington’s Patton Boggs has strengthened its presence in the Middle East with an office opening in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. “This is an exciting opportunity for Patton Boggs to build upon its long history of assisting clients in the Middle East,” Stuart Pape, the firm’s managing partner, said in a news release. “By opening an office in Abu Dhabi, the firm is showing its commitment to its long-standing clients as well as opening the door to future clients.” Patton Boggs now has lawyers in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Doha, Qatar, who service clients throughout the Middle East. The Abu Dhabi office provides representation in a number of practice areas, including private capital and investment funds, banking and financial institutions, international business transactions, construction, infrastructure and real estate, Islamic finance, and litigation and dispute resolution. The managing partner of the Abu Dhabi office is Bill Nash, whose experience includes private investment funds, international transactions and joint ventures. He also represents institutional investors in connection with their U.S. and offshore investment activities. Patton Boggs has more than 600 lawyers and professionals in nine offices.
