Crowell & Moring has recruited to its New York office the former chairman of the bankruptcy practice at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner. Michael V. Blumenthal will be joined by counsel Bruce J. Zabarauskas, also formerly of Thelen Reid, which has seen a string of departures from its New York office in recent months, and has laid off a number of lawyers, citing the weakening economy.
