Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges has pulled an in-house litigator out of Samsung Electronics for its Silicon Valley office, the firm announced Wednesday. John Kim, who was senior intellectual property litigation counsel of the Seoul-based consumer-tech giant, will maintain his relationship with his former employer. Kim said Quinn has also expressed interest in having him help develop the firm's Asian practice.
