Schottenstein Zox & Dunn, a 150-lawyer Ohio firm, has opened a Raleigh, N.C., office with eight attorneys and two lobbyists. The new office will be headed up by David Otterson and will include Dennis Wicker, the former lieutenant governor of North Carolina. Raleigh's strength in advancing research and technology through its top universities and Research Triangle Park was a draw for the firm's expansion and mirrors the technology focus of the City of Columbus, according to the firm.

Schottenstein Zox & Dunn, a 150-lawyer Ohio firm, has opened a North Carolina office with eight attorneys and two lobbyists.
The office is the firm’s first outside of Ohio and is staffed with attorneys and professionals who worked with Helms Mullis & Wicker. That firm recently merged with McGuireWoods. However, some did not want to join the merged firm, according to a spokeswoman for Schottenstein.
