For the second time in six months, Lowenstein Sandler has snapped up a lawyer from a venture capital client and assigned her to head a new branch of the firm -- this time in Silicon Valley. Kathi Rawnsley, a nine-year regional counsel at Intel Capital, will head up Lowenstein's Palo Alto, Calif., office, which is opening Monday. The move is part of the 260-lawyer New Jersey firm's plan to service existing venture capital and technology clients and attract new ones, says its managing partner.
