Former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Rolf Larsen, who was impeached and removed from office in 1994, has had a significant first-round victory in his federal lawsuit alleging he was cheated out of more than $1 million in pension benefits.

Larsen, 73, of Pittsburgh, claims in the suit that the State Employees’ Retirement System and its board have refused to pay his pension benefits from 1994 to 2001 and that they miscalculated the benefits he is currently being paid.
