The European Union’s highest court has ordered Ireland to pay €2.5 million to the European Commission for failing to implement a 2018 directive into Irish law.
The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) also imposed a penalty of €10,000 a day, to take effect from the day of the judgment, Feb. 29, until the measure is fully transposed.
