As 25% of states have announced plans to use the NextGen bar exam, the National Conference of Bar Examiners held its first field test, which included 4,124 participants from 88 law schools located in 41 jurisdictions.

The field test provided exam developers and psychometric experts at the NCBE with key data and feedback on new question types that will appear on the exam and will help ensure that the new exam assesses the knowledge and skills needed by new lawyers, according to NCBE’s announcement.
