A Maryland federal judge denied a documentary streaming platform’s motion to compel arbitration and motion to dismiss a Video Privacy Protection Act suit brought by users accusing the company of sharing their information with Facebook.

Representing the plaintiffs Rohan Druva and Joshua Stern, Bursor & Fisher filed suit against the media company and subscription video streaming service CuriosityStream Inc., claiming that it violated the federal VPPA and California state law when it disclosed their personally identifiable information to Facebook.
