The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit has revived a former CEO’s suit against comedian and actress Kathy Griffin, finding Tennessee has personal jurisdiction over Griffin due to her Twitter activity.
In the Oct. 31 opinion, the court determined that plaintiff Samuel Johnson had made a prima facie showing that personal jurisdiction existed, after Griffin doxed him online and contacted his employer via Twitter.
