The Council of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar voted in August to send Standard 208 out for notice and comment. With the period ending Sept. 29, only five comments have been received.

Standard 208, Academic Freedom and Freedom of Expression, addresses the interrelated topics of academic freedom and freedom of expression, and seeks to ensure that law schools properly protect academic freedom for teachers and freedom of expression more broadly, according to the ABA memorandum regarding notice and comment.
