3M will be the sole manufacturer at trial on Monday after DuPont and related companies agreed to pay nearly $1.2 billion to settle lawsuits alleging they contaminated the U.S. water supply with “forever chemicals.”

On Friday, Napoli Shkolnik announced a global settlement with DuPont de Nemours Inc. and two of its spinoff companies, The Chemours Co. and Corteva Inc., alleged to have contaminated public drinking water supplies with toxic chemicals such as perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS.
