A Maryland attorney’s misrepresentations to a circuit court and ”obstructive” behavior in a divorce and custody proceeding have resulted in his indefinite suspension by a divided Maryland Supreme Court.

According to the high court’s March 2 opinion, Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland filed a petition for disciplinary action against Montgomery County attorney Richard Sloane in November 2021. Sloane, a family and employment lawyer, was admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2003.
