The Idaho Supreme Court declined, for a second time, to adopt a resolution proposed by the Idaho State Bar Commissioners that sought to amend Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4(g) to include anti-discrimination and anti-harassment provisions.

The decision stated that while the Idaho Supreme Court commends the state bar’s attempt to address unlawful discrimination, the court felt obliged to reject the resolution. According to the per curiam explanation of the court’s rejection, the opinion acknowledged that this proposed resolution 20-01, is the second iteration the state bar has submitted for the court’s approval.
