The Supreme Court of Tennessee decided to publicly censure an already-suspended attorney who botched the sale of an estate, when its proceeds went into his client’s pocket instead of the court clerk.

"After becoming aware of the error, Mr. Duke failed to take proper action to facilitate the transfer of the funds to the Court Clerk or to amend the order of guardianship," the court wrote. "Mr. Duke also failed to maintain good communication with his client during the representation."
