Heartland Dental, a nationwide corporation that manages dental practices, has been hit with a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit by a small practice dentist in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Dr. Tara Hardin is a cosmetic dentist practicing in Cincinnati, Ohio. In a complaint, filed Sept. 21, Hardin claimed that Heartland Dental used her photo in marketing materials on the company’s website without her permission. TNHD, Hardin’s private practice, is the sole copyright owner of the photograph.
