As a new school year begins at Yale Law School, 53 students will be receiving full-tuition, need-based scholarships that will automatically go to students who meet the financial requirements.

The Soledad and Robert Hurst Horizon Scholarship Program was created to erase tuition for law students with the greatest financial need, rather than awarding merit-based scholarships, for students in the Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025 and into perpetuity, Yale Law School Dean Heather Gerken told in February when Yale announced the program.
