When Nell Jessup Newton becomes interim dean of Wake Forest University School of Law next week, she will break the record for having held the most deanships.

Newton will succeed Jane Aiken at Wake Forest Law, who is stepping down July 31, after serving as dean for three years, to take a research leave to work on issues of the criminalization of the exercise of reproductive rights as consulting counsel with National Advocates for Pregnant Women.
