In what has been a back-and-forth battle with the Louisiana attorney general over the right to an abortion in the state, an all-women team of Boies Schiller Flexner lawyers has secured another victory.

On Thursday, Donald R. Johnson, chief judge of the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge, granted a preliminary injunction, blocking the state from enforcing trigger laws designed to ban and criminalize abortions in the state after the U.S. Supreme Court in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health overturned Roe v. Wade and the constitutional right to an abortion.
