Editor’s Note: The following is a letter signed by more than 2,200 partners in law firms across the country.
More than 2,650 women partners at major law firms across the country have signed a letter with a call to action following the Supreme Court’s grievous decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, stripping women of their constitutional right to decide for themselves whether to carry a pregnancy to term. In their powerful letter, they denounce the Dobbs decision and commit themselves to offering pro bono legal services to organizations that defend and support women’s rights to autonomy, equality and safe access to reproductive health care, including abortion.
