Large and midsize firms in Texas gained lawyers in 2021, pushing the Lone Star State ahead of Illinois in the geographic cut of the NLJ 500 report, which ranks the nation’s largest firms by lawyer head count.
Only New York, California and Washington, D.C., had more lawyers at NLJ 500 firms in 2021 than Texas.
