Massachusetts’ top court on Thursday revived a lawsuit against Harvard University over its usage of photos taken of a woman’s enslaved ancestors, a win for Connecticut-based firm Koskoff Koskoff & Bieder.
The court said Harvard may be liable for emotional distress the woman suffered as a result of how the university treated her requests for information about the images.
