A Syracuse federal judge on Friday dismissed former President Donald Trump’s effort to block New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil investigation of his business practices, one day after a state appellate court rejected Trump’s motion to quash subpoenas in the same investigation.

U.S. District Judge Brenda Sannes of the Northern District of New York granted the AG’s motion to dismiss Trump’s suit challenging the investigation, which his attorneys have described as politically motivated.
