Judge Theodore McKee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit called the leaking of a U.S. Supreme Court draft opinion this week “troubling and perplexing.”
McKee’s comments came Tuesday evening during an event honoring his colleague, Judge D. Brooks Smith, who was presented an award by the nonprofit Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts for his commitment to judicial independence.
