Consumer Class Action/Mass Tort Defense

Spencer Fane partner Mary E. Bacon has entered an appearance for Target and NatureStar North America in a pending class action over the labeling of disposable tableware and food storage products. The suit, filed Feb. 24 in California Eastern District Court by Kahn, Soares & Conway, contends that the NatureStar’s are falsely advertised as eco-friendly and compostable when they contain harmful per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
